Custom sounds amazing… right until the “what if” starts. What if it doesn’t fit? What if it takes ages to dial in? What if a crash ruins the whole investment? Confidence & Care is how we make custom predictable: you get a preview before production, complimentary digital fitting, durable and upgradeable 3D-printed padding, and crash replacement—plus a team that actually sticks with you until it feels right.
Custom shouldn’t feel like a gamble
A saddle is one of the biggest comfort “make or break” parts on your bike. And if you’ve ever played the saddle carousel—buy, test, suffer, sell, repeat—you already know how expensive and frustrating trial-and-error gets.
Going custom is supposed to end that cycle. But it can also raise a new question: “What if it doesn’t work for me?”
That’s exactly why we built 100% Confidence & Care into every Joyseat purchase. It’s not a marketing sticker. It’s a practical support system designed to make custom clear, predictable, and fully supported—from the moment your data becomes a saddle, to the first rides, to years down the road.
What the Confidence & Care Program includes
Confidence & Care is built around one simple goal: your custom saddle should work for you exactly as intended. Here’s what that looks like in real life.
1) Preview before production
Custom doesn’t have to mean “blind trust.” Before we manufacture your saddle, you’ll review the key specifications and a visual preview of what we’re about to build.

You’ll receive:
-
Your sit bone measurement (accurate to one tenth of a millimeter)
-
An early estimate of your saddle dimensions
-
Your full Saddle Birth Certificate, including a visual model preview
The point is simple: you know what’s coming—before it’s printed.
After receiving the email with your measured values and estimated saddle width, you have 48 hours to let us know if anything needs clarification or adjustment.
Full details can be found in our Terms & Conditions.
2) Complimentary digital bike fitting (MyVeloFit)
Even the right saddle can feel wrong if the position is off.
That’s why every Joyseat includes access to a MyVeloFit digital fitting plan, so you can dial in your setup at home. Think of it as a baseline check before you finalize your configuration—and an especially useful tool after installation, when small tweaks can make a big difference.

Most improvements come from fine-tuning:
-
Saddle height
-
Tilt
-
Fore-aft position
And here’s the key: with a precise support system like 3D-printed padding, tiny adjustments can change pressure distribution a lot. So make one change at a time—and give it a few rides to settle before you change something else.
3) Durable & upgradeable 3D-printed padding
Joyseat’s padding is produced from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) using MultiJet Fusion technology. It’s built to last significantly longer than traditional foam, which can pack down over time.
If your needs evolve—or after years of use—you can refresh or update the saddle feel by reprinting the 3D padding while keeping the original shell.
-
€150 + shipping for a padding refresh/update
-
No need to replace the entire saddle
Long-term comfort shouldn’t require starting from zero.

4) Crash replacement (because life happens)
Cycling comes with risks. If you crash, we don’t want a damaged saddle to be the end of your custom journey.
With Confidence & Care, you can receive a new custom saddle for 50% of the original price after a crash. And because Joyseat is modular (3D-printed padding + shell), in some cases only the damaged component needs replacement.
The part everyone forgets: adaptation and setup
Switching from a traditional foam saddle to a precise 3D-printed support system can require a short adaptation period. That’s normal—and it’s also why we focus so much on guidance.
We recommend:
-
Start with gradual rides at moderate intensity
-
Follow the setup instructions carefully
-
On longer rides, stand occasionally to relieve pressure
After roughly 300–500 km, the saddle may settle slightly into its optimal support profile. (Think “break-in,” but engineered.)
Also worth saying out loud: comfort is a system. Your saddle matters—but so do your bib shorts, chamois care, and overall position.

If something feels off, here’s the next step
Most uncertainties are resolved through correct setup. But if something still doesn’t feel right, we have a clear process.
-
Fill in our discomfort form
-
Include your MyVeloFit report + photos of your bike setup
-
Our team will analyze the data and suggest precise adjustments—or evaluate whether a parameter update (like a padding reprint) makes sense
The goal isn’t to “tough it out.” The goal is to get you to that feeling where you stop thinking about your saddle—and just ride.
